What is the Yoder S Series Pellet Grill Replacement Probe?

This is a factory replacement food probe for the Yoder Smokers S Series pellet grills. It plugs directly into the control board and measures internal food temperature.

Which models or versions is this probe compatible with?

This probe is compatible with all S Series pellet grills. However, note that Yoder switched from a Type J thermocouple to a PT1000 probe in serial numbers ≥ 74001 — these probe types are not interchangeable.

How do I choose the correct probe type?

Before replacing the probe, check your grill’s current probe type (Type J or PT1000) according to Yoder’s Technical Service Bulletin. Using the wrong type will result in incorrect temperature readings.

How do I install the replacement probe?

Unplug the existing probe from the control board, then gently pull it free, guiding the wire through the passage. Insert the new probe in the same orientation and plug it into the board. Avoid kinking the wire.
