The two-way push button tilt is the part you'll actually use every day. Press the button on the pole, angle the canopy up to 45 degrees, release. The shade follows the sun west through the afternoon and you never have to drag a 50-pound base across the patio to chase it. Canopy fabric comes in Grade A and Grade C. Grade A is 100% solution-dyed acrylic — Sunbrella, Outdura, Bella-Dura, Bliss, and Docril — with a five-year warranty against fading. Grade C is O'Bravia 100% solution-dyed polyester with a four-year fade warranty. One thing to plan for: the base is sold separately, and you need at least 50 pounds. How the Push Button Tilt Works

Crank the handle clockwise until the canopy is fully open. Press and hold the button on the upper pole, tilt the canopy to the angle you want — up to 45 degrees — and release to lock it. To close, press the button and return the canopy to upright first, then crank counter-clockwise. Tilting it back to vertical before you crank down keeps the ribs and the tilt housing from taking load they weren't built for.

Once it's closed, wrap the canopy with the fabric ties. It takes five seconds and it's what keeps a gust from catching a loose panel overnight.
