CrushGrind Stockholm Salt & Pepper Grinder (Oak) — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the CrushGrind Stockholm Grinder?
The CrushGrind Stockholm Grinder is a wood-body salt & pepper mill with Scandinavian design, made from FSC®-certified oak. It uses a ceramic crushing mechanism that is rustproof and backed by a 25-year guarantee.
What are its key features and specifications?

    • Body: natural oak wood, each piece unique thanks to wood grain variations.
    • Grinder mechanism: ceramic, non-metallic, suitable for salt, pepper, and other dried spices.
    • Adjustable grind: you twist or adjust the bottom to change from fine to coarse.
    • No-spill design: features a sliding plate under the mill that keeps residual spice from spilling on the table.
    • Lid indicator: discreet “S” or “P” marking on the top shows whether it’s set for salt or pepper.
    • Warranty: 25-year guarantee on ceramic mechanism.
    • Sizes: common size is ~11 cm (4 in) height; also available in larger sizes (e.g. 17 cm).

How do I use and maintain the Stockholm grinder?

    1. Pull off the top cap to refill the mill with whole peppercorns, salt crystals, or dried spices.
    2. Adjust grind setting via the bottom ring (usually twisting clockwise for finer, counterclockwise for coarser).
    3. Turn the mill to grind. The no-spill slide opens under pressure and closes when released, keeping residue contained.
    4. To clean, unscrew the adjustment wheel to remove the ceramic cone and brush it clean. If needed, soak the ceramic parts (not the wood) in warm water, dry fully (at least 24 h) before reassembly.
    5. Avoid immersing the oak body in water or placing in dishwashers; wipe with a damp cloth and dry promptly.
