L-Shaped dECK-tOP ENTERTAINER'S KITCHEN

A LAYOUT FOR EVERY FUNCTION

DECK-TOP COOKING WITH SPACE TO RELAX

Some kitchens start with a blank canvas. This one started with a set of blueprints. The kitchen's size and location on the deck were already determined by the home's construction, and the sink needed to sit centered on the window above it. Everything else — the grill, the side burner, the griddle, the storage — had to work around those two fixed points. Our job was making it all fit, with enough counter space left over to actually cook.

The centerpiece is a Yoder Smokers YS480s Built-In, paired with an Artisan Double Side Burner and a Fusion 30" Teppanyaki Griddle with a matching stainless lid — giving this kitchen real range, whether it's a low-and-slow cook, a quick sear, or breakfast on the griddle. A Ruvati 23" stainless undermount sink anchors the layout right at the window, exactly where the client wanted it, and a Quivira 30" dry pantry along with additional vertical and combo storage keep everything within reach without eating into the counter space this kitchen needed to stay functional. Since the space isn't covered, ventilation wasn't a design factor here — this was purely a puzzle of fitting a full lineup of appliances into a fixed footprint

It's easy to imagine this kitchen getting plenty of use — the grill going for a weeknight dinner, the griddle out for a weekend breakfast, the side burner covering whatever the smoker doesn't. A small footprint, but a kitchen with everything it needs to keep up with however this family likes to cook.
