WHERE POOLSIDE DAYS TURN INTO FIRESIDE NIGHTS
Some backyards are built for one thing. This one was built for two—a U-shaped bar made for serving up drinks by the pool, and a covered lounge built around a fireplace and TV for the evenings that follow. The layout was already planned before we got the call. Our job was making sure it fit the space perfectly.
This project came to us with a clear vision already in place. The homeowners worked with their landscape architect to plan the entire backyard—the pool, the landscaping, and the layout for both the bar and the lounge. Our role entailed engineering custom steel frames precise enough to slide into an existing, covered-patio footprint without disturbing the columns and utility lines already built into it, plus a few thoughtful tweaks to the bar's layout for better flow. The homeowners had already chosen their countertops and tile, and we built the frames to match that vision exactly. The centerpiece of the lounge is a 72" Firegear Kalea Bay linear fireplace, framed to sit cleanly within the covered space. It came together exactly how we'd hoped.
It's easy to picture how this space gets used. Afternoons by the pool that turn into cocktails at the bar. Evenings that move to the lounge, with the fireplace going and the TV on for a game or a movie. A space built for exactly the kind of gathering this family had in mind from the start.
