Features & Specification

Try the rub from the team that won the 2009 American Royal Invitational. From the team of Todd Johns and his brother-in-law Randy Hinck (who compete as the Pork Pullin Plowboys) who bested 123 past grand champions to capture the overall crown. Plowboys Yardbird Rub was developed for competition bbq but for those of us that are just backyard bbq geeks it gives us the opportunity to produce award winning bbq without the competition. The savory rub, with a touch of sweetness is followed on the back of the tongue with just a little heat.

Sprinkle your chicken or pork with this rub and watch them come back for more! The bottle reads, "Created for chicken, but made for pork" and after trying this rub on some pork chops, we agree!

Ingredients: salt, sugar, spices including chili pepper, paprika, dehydrated garlic and onion, celery powder, mustard flour, disodium inosinate and guanylate, not more than 2% calcium stearate added to prevent caking

Best rub out there for pork and chicken!
Best rub out there for pork and chicken! I've been using this rub ever since we got our BGE 4 years ago and have yet to find it's equal.

Great flavor
I cooked 6 racks of ribs over the 4th of July. My family absolutely loved the flavor of the 3 racks with the yardbird rub.

Excellent Choice
I've been using this rub for a few years now. It is an excellent all around BBQ rub and not only for chicken. I won a first place in brisket at a competition using this rub. I have shared this rub with people in other countries who ask for a good example of American BBQ rub. It is very well balanced and simply delicious.
