Wusthof's newest collection, Epicure, has been designed by German industrial designer Björn Berger. The entire Epicure collection features precision forged blades with a full tang that is double riveted to the handle for increased strength.
Modern lines set this collection apart, and this Santoku is crafted for optimum comfort with an all new blade design that features a deeper belly than any Santoku on the market today. This allows this Santoku knife to be used in a classic European rock chop as well as with a push chop that is popular in Japanese cuisine. The 10º blade angle allows for very fine slices to be made with ease.
The granton edge allows food to move more easily off of the blade, so even starchy vegetables like potatoes will slip off more easily keeping you from slowing down during prep sessions.
The ergonomic handle is manufactured from a modern wood composite that is both renewable and beautiful.
