Summer is coming to an end and we're quickly approaching tailgate season. It's the perfect time to be outdoors and enjoying the good food with good people. Steak Modiga might just be the perfect addition to your late summer or game day cookouts! We're pounding out sirloin steaks, marinating them and breading them with cheese and breadcrumbs before rolling them up and placing them on skewers. It's almost like a pinwheel version of chicken fried steak!
The Kentucky Hot Brown is an American classic! This open-faced sandwich was created at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky in 1926 to feed the masses of late night dancers who frequented the hotel. Of course, we at All Things Barbecue had to put our touch on the classic by smoking our turkey, instead of roasting it. But the rest we left unchanged.
Chef Tom takes one of our favorite cooking techniques and adds a twist by swapping a foil wrapped brick for a Himalayan Salt Plate. He then places a charcoal basket in our Napoleon P500RSIB-1 and grills bone-in chicken halves indirect with a preheated salt plate on top.
It's heating up out there. Cool off with this refreshing recipe for Asian inspired grilled pork loin, pineapple and onion skewers on a bed of cool crisp cucumber noodles, smothered in a sweet, salty and spicy peanut sauce!
Grab some ripe bananas, and let's whip up some delicious chocolate chip banana bread! In case you've forgotten, your grill (especially those of you using the Yoder Smokers pellet grills) is also a pretty good oven. So, forget about warming up the house on these hot summer days, and do your baking outdoors!
This Italian take on the pot pie is a great weeknight meal that'll have your family eating within an hour of turning on the heat. Despite its simplicity, there is plenty of opportunity to experiment and cater this dish to your family's tastes!
It's not exactly the meatloaf you grew up eating. It's wrapped in bacon, cuddled up to cream cheese and beer battered onion rings and kissed with chipotle ketchup, all before getting a bear hug from a sweet slider bun. I don't want to say it's better than what your Mom made you as a kid, but it is.
