The anodized aluminum grill grate package for Yoder Smokers Pellet Grills offers an exceptional grilling experience, elevating your cooking to steakhouse-quality standards. When fitted with this package, the grate temperature on the left side surpasses the 650-degree mark, resulting in those coveted grill marks synonymous with a steakhouse. The fast cooking times, intense caramelization, and rich color and texture achieved are reminiscent of cooking over an open fire or gas-fired grill.

Proper care and cleaning of your GrillGrates are essential to maintain their performance and longevity. During the initial uses, lightly apply grill spray or canola oil to the GrillGrates. Always oil your food before placing it on the grill to prevent sticking. In the beginning, avoid over-cleaning the grates to allow them to season and develop a non-stick coating. Over time, the grates will transition from gray to light brown to black. Avoid using harsh cleaners, dishwasher, or prolonged exposure to very high heats (850°F +), as this can warp the grates over time. For occasional deep cleaning, the GrillGrates can be cleaned in the sink or washtub. Utilize some panels right side up and others flipped upside down to create a griddle area on your grill. Rotating the grates occasionally will help them self-clean.

For a YS640 pellet grill, one set of grates (3 interlocking grates) covers half of the cooking chamber. An additional set of 3 grates completes the package, covering the entire cooking surface.
